Privacy Policy

WikiWright is run by Avernix Game Studio ("we"). This explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Your account: email address, display name, and your password, stored only as a hash we can't read back.
- Your contributions: what you write, edit summaries, and when. These are public, along with your display name, and stay in page history.
- API tokens, if you make any: a scrambled copy, the token's name, and when it was last used.
- Your profile: your handle, display name, bio, links, picture and the wikis you've worked on. These are public. Your email is never shown.
- Requests to start a wiki: what you asked for and why. Only the site's owner sees your reason.
- "Was this page helpful?" votes: your answer, and a scrambled code made from your account or IP address so you can only vote once on a page. The code can't be turned back into your address.
- Emails you send us: your message, your address, and any attachments. We keep them to answer you and to keep a record, and only the site's owner can read them. Ask us to delete them at any time.
- Images you upload: the image, its description and source, and that you uploaded it. These are public too.
- Sign-in details: your IP address and browser type, stored with your session, and your IP address for limiting repeated attempts.
- Moderation records: actions moderators take on accounts and edits, and the reasons they give.
- Drafts: unsaved edits stay in your own browser, not on our servers, until you publish them.
Why we use it
To run your account, credit your contributions, send account emails, and keep the site safe from spam and abuse. We don't sell your information, and we don't show ads.
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in. Your browser also stores unsaved drafts. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Other services
- Cloudflare hosts the site, its data and uploaded images, sends our email, and runs the bot check on account forms.
- Google Fonts serves the site's fonts, so Google receives your IP address when your browser loads them.
Your choices
Email contact@wikiwright.com to see, correct or delete your account information. If we delete your account, your contributions stay under their license, but no longer show your account. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights, including complaining to a data protection authority.
Children
WikiWright isn't for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, please tell us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a significant way, we'll say so on the site.
